The first project at Nazareth was a huge wall hanging that represented the school, with the four school houses.
Each mosaic piece was created by a different student or teacher. With more than 450 people involved it really did
become a community project. It now resides in the foyer of the student resources building. We had so much fun
we decided to keep felting and made enough to create another piece for the school reception. The patchworked
border was handstitched by the year 7 students and then felted as the border.
In 2006 each year 9 student designed their own creature and we made them in seamless felt. A challenging project but the results were worth it. Each one is a real masterpiece! This year we combined a number of materials to create felt that we collaged to art canvas. |
